"My desires are a couple of ten foot baby bottles, a gilded maple branch, a green Woodpecker with a collapsable beak that turns into a piano, a picnic table with a re-print of a warhole nipple conduit and a walnut whip.x"

Utrophia Art Network is proud to present a series of paintings and films by Rob Bidder (Fine Art, Goldsmiths). The show follows on from Utrophia's 'Egg Festival' (which Rob co-curated), held at Deptford Properly Cafe and the new Utrophia Project Space. We thought that the paintings were so good that they should stay up longer and more people should see them.
They are meticulously painted eggs which hover within various backdrops like mythical creatures. With arrays of strong, bold block colours which delight and mesmerize, the eggs take on a kind of magic and wizardry, which give the egg a somewhat awesome presence. The work will be accompanied with other elements from the Egg Festival, which we will leave as a surprise.
A film by Rigsby Smith, documenting the Egg Festival will be shown alongside Rob's work, to give an insight into the context in which they were originally shown.
I'm working at this show on saturday and sunday of this week and thursday and friday of next week. Come and have a look, I know it's a bit of a way to Deptford but it's really worth it!
